Three decades of honing my craft
I first fell in love with singing as a child while attending Northeast Seventh Day Adventist Church in Charlotte, NC. God allowed me to be surrounded by talented musicians and vocalists who inspired and embraced me with open arms. While attending Northeast, I started singing with the youth choir, which started a passion for singing that hasn’t yet left me. Over three decades, I have performed as a lead vocalist for gospel choirs, gospel groups, weddings, and other events. Outside of my musical talents, I am an educator. I have a B.A . in Education with a concentration in middle grades education Science and Social Studies. I’ve been teaching for the past ten years, and this experience has been filled with lifelong lessons.
I’ve always wanted to make an impact on others that I meet in a positive way and singing allows me to do that. I currently sing with my local praise and worship group in Asheville, NC. I enjoy performing/singing gospel, R&B, and jazz music. My latest project, “It’s A Carlos Edwards Christmas,” is an EP that has four classic Christmas songs that can be played around family, friends, and loved ones during the holiday season. I aspire to be able to use the gifts that God gave me the way He wants me to use them and have fun doing it in the process. Be on the lookout for more music coming out in the form of a press kit in 2024. This press kit will contain a full range of different styles and genres of music that I, as a vocalist, can provide.
